The important thing is to choose what information it will be. If you choose the wrong type of information you may not make as much money as someone else who has taken the time to do some market research and to find out the kind of information that is going to sell well.
There are certain niches that are extremely popular and selling information in those niches is pretty much going to be sure to bring profits if you know what you're doing and you know how to target your customer.
However if you feel that you don't want to go into such a competitive niche then there are plenty of other topics that people are desperate for information on. Just go to Amazon and look at the non fiction books there and the categories they are under and it will give you plenty of ideas of topics that are selling well.
In order to make money for yourself you need to be committed to putting in the effort daily to get the results out. You need to become knowledgeable and an expert in your particular topic and you need to produce the products yourself.
