Driving Forward While Looking in Rear View Mirror?

As entrepreneurs, we are our own worst enemy in terms of getting ahead and reaching our goals. We have that "Monkey Chatter" going on inside our heads constantly. This monkey chatter, or rumination of our life story replaying inside our heads, is an element that we must try and manage. For example, we think about the previous 5 other programs we signed up for in the past and the results we got and now here we are joining another program and we are projecting the same future outcome of the new biz based on the past biz.
It's like driving a car and always looking in the rear view mirror. Not too smart eh? You cannot get to where you want to go if you drive like this. Wouldn't you say?
The same is true in life and especially in business. Starting a business is extremely difficult and stressful and takes money and all your time. If you start a new business with the mind-set of, this is going to be just another one of those network marketing programs that I joined in the past, and the results are going to be like those results that I got in the past, then you are doomed to fail. This is the monkey chatter that we want to avoid. We want to stop it. You must completely eliminate this monkey chatter and proceed with any online business knowing that it will work. You want to think and believe that you will make money and that you will be a success.
Thinking about your business any other way is a recipe for failure. As entrepreneurs we are amazing folks and we deserve to live in that luxury home and drive those luxury cars and take those luxury vacations. We are in the 3% of those who think much differently about life than the other 97% of the population. We know that we deserve to live in a life of abundance and wealth.
For us, to work at a 9-5 job and take orders from another person while at the same time making them rich, is absurd. We know that we only have so many hours in the day, and that time is the most precious resource. Time must not be wasted. And at a regular job, that is all you're doing is trading time for dollars. As business owners, we want to live at a higher level in society and make a difference in people's lives and lead by example for our children to follow. We want to use our time wisely and make sure that it is used to create value and benefit society.
Average folks, the 97% ers, will always ask how much things cost. They say, "Oh I like this business opportunity but how much does it cost?" Entrepreneurs and rich people on the other hand, the 3% ers, think much differently. They say, "Oh I like this business opportunity how much can I make?" See the difference? The 3% ers think about money and wealth much different than the average folks. Rich people think about how much can they make!
This is the kind of good monkey chatter you want to have going on inside your thoughts. You cannot look back at past failures and then project that onto a new business. You need to drive while looking ahead, not behind.
