Being efficient in your business, especially if you are a one person business, is critical to your overall success. Often when we talk about increasing profits it means there is a huge amount of extra work involved.
However, it doesn't need to be that way. It is possible to increase your profits by being efficient with what you already have! Here are 3 ways to easily increase your profits.
1. Passive Income
Although I believe that being your own product creator is essential to sustaining a business it doesn't mean that you should leave other easy money on the table! If you think about the content that you create on your website or emails that you write to your customers there will be many times when you recommend a tool or resource that will help to enhance or make their life easier in some way.
Just because you haven't created that tool doesn't mean that you shouldn't make some money from recommending it!
Therefore when you recommend a book or something else that is relevant to your customers see if there is an affiliate program available for it. If there is then it makes sense to use an affiliate link and earn some passive income.
2. Repackaging Products
The more products you have in your portfolio the easier it is to repackage them. Suppose you have a complete home study course that people can buy from you. What if you were to turn that course into a 10 week program? This would have more appeal to people who like to go through a course step by step rather than having everything in one go.
There is little extra work on your part. You would just need to create an automated email series that send the relevant part of the course out each week and put up a sales page for the course.
3. Your Own Affiliate Program
Setting up your own affiliate program is a great way for you to make extra income in the long term. Even if you offer 100% commission you can use it as a way to build your email list. Once someone is on your list then you can offer your products that you know sell well.
You can easily set up an affiliate program - sometimes for free - and all you need to do is provide some helpful resources for those to sell your product. Things like banners, videos and other promotional material that will enable them to sell your product more easily.
