3 Steps to Building a Winning Team

Step #1: Be Selective When Choosing Partners
The first step in building a winning team for an MLM business is to make sure that you partner with someone who is a good fit for your business and your team. Don't be afraid to turn someone down. You can waste a lot of valuable time and energy if you recruit the wrong people. Interview people before you sign them up as your partner. They should have the finances available to invest in your business and have some cash in reserve for unexpected business expenses. When we started our new business we found out right away that we needed to update our computer, printer, and telephones so we quickly used up some of our cash reserve.
Your prospective partners must be willing to learn from you and other people by attending seminars and trainings. There is a direct correlation between attending seminars and improving your success with an MLM business. Make sure you attend those seminars too so that you can show your support and enthusiasm for your business. Your new partners will face many challenges and disappointments. Make sure they have the proper training and motivation to accept those challenges. Be there with advice when they have disappointments. Many new partners hit a snag, get discouraged, and quit too soon if they don't have enough support.
Step#2: Set Expectations High
Don't make your MLM business sound too easy. It is better to make it sound tougher at first. At the same time make their introduction to your business realistic and manageable. Also don't make promises of sudden wealth. People who start out with big dreams of sudden riches quickly become discouraged and quit. New entrepreneurs will have a lot to learn at first about your business, products and how to do sales. That takes time. Very few people will reach success immediately. Those stable and waiting people who are taking a little longer to build a base of knowledge can turn out to be real treasures. Also do not use up their cash reserves by selling them too many products. They do need to try the products they intend to sell but they also need to stay financially stable.
Step #3: Train Your Partners to Be Leaders
Once your new partners learn enough to successfully duplicate your efforts, teach them how to become leaders. Hopefully you have created your own MLM business group on Facebook where they can interact with your other business partners. They can ask questions, get advice, and share stories. This gives them a broader base of support and encourages them to become more independent. Once you have built a strong team of leaders, they in turn will train new partners to duplicate your efforts and eventually teach them to become leaders as well. You will have successfully built a winning team which should result in a thriving business. Best of luck with your endeavors!
