If you own a networking marketing business opportunity, then you know how hard it can be to market your business. Of all the techniques I've used, this technique has worked the best for me. Maybe it's because I'm a writer, but you don't have to be a writer to write good content to promote your business. Writing and submitting articles to article directories will demonstrate your expertise. Free reports and ebooks will show others how you can help them solve their problems. Having lots of content circulating will also help you with the search engines.
2. Join forums and mailing lists and participate.
There are plenty of forums available on the topic of your network marketing business to post in, as well as mailing lists like Yahoo Groups. The most important point to remember is that these are for discussion. Don't go in there posting your offers unless there is a specific section designed for it. Ask questions, and more importantly, answer questions. By helping others, it will give you credibility, and others are more likely to show an interest in your opportunity and join if you show you genuinely care about helping them succeed in business.
3. Join both general and business specific social networks.
Sites like Facebook and Linkedin are great places to connect with your audience. These sites have hundreds of millions of members, but it's easy to get lost in the shuffle. You should still market there. Go beyond that though and choose sites that are related to your industry. Although these sites are smaller, the audience will be more interested in your offer. Take advantage of all the ways to market on these sites, including ads, groups, and make sure you create a great profile.
4. Post on free classified ad sites.
Although not as effective as they once were, these sites are still a great place to market your business. It gives you an opportunity to test your offers to see what works. If you want to get the most from these sites though, then I would recommend you create a squeeze page and build a list. Write a short report to give away and give it away. It usually takes about seven exposures over the course of a year to get your prospect to buy, so this allows you to recycle your traffic and increase your conversion rate.
5. Buy ads in newsletters.
There are many newsletters in circulation today, and like forums and lists, you will find newsletters on just about every topic you can imagine. Check ezine directories to help you find good newsletters to advertise in. Make sure you read the listings carefully, and choose only one or two to start. Test and track your ads and then compare your sign ups and leads. Test the elements of your ad. (For example, use different headlines.) Once you have a winning ad, then try advertising in other newsletters.
6. Build a content rich website around your business opportunity.
A content rich website adds value to your offerings. It allows you to build a list, give more information about the products you are marketing, and allows you to demonstrate your unique perspective on a product. This will increase your conversions as long as you establish credibility, and it will help you with the search engines too.
Combine these techniques to build an effective marketing plan. It's no longer necessary to go offline to market your network marketing opportunity. You can do it conveniently from the comfort of home. Just use techniques that are effective, market consistently, and you'll see results.
