My Steps to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur

A Desire to Have a Business
In preparation for retirement my husband and I started looking for a home business. Since I planned to retire in a few years, now was the time to get started. We decided on a health and wellness business. We liked the products and so did some of our friends but we realized after one year that it was not going to help us reach our goals and we could not afford to keep buying expensive cold leads. The business structure called for us to find a lot of partners and we didn't see that happening on our budget. We also didn't have other people in this business to support us so we felt like we were all on our own. Seminars were too far away for us to attend them at that time since I was working full time.
Step 1 Training for Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur
I came across a reputable home business school whose purpose was to teach me internet marketing skills were I could generate my own leads. It also came with a written guarantee of success. I didn't have great abilities with a computer but my son was now an engineer so I figured he could help me out. So I began my journey from full time teaching by day to a student at night, weekends, and holidays as well. Whoever was lucky enough to find my website and become my partner could be taught some of my internet marketing skills. That would make them more successful too. I saw this as a win/win situation.
There was nothing easy about becoming a successful entrepreneur because the schooling was tough and there was a lot of frustration ahead for me. I did have books to read, videos to watch, and a personal tutor to talk to but I definitely felt out of my element. I was working full time and I was staying up late at night. I was finally able to set up a website though, write a free report, and write some content articles on health and wellness so I was making slow but steady progress.
Step 2: Repeat Step 1
About three months into my schooling we came in contact with a very successful group of home business professionals near our small rural area that had a home business with a more solid structure, a better business plan. They were such a strong team that they could actually arrange for speakers to come to our area and give seminars. They also had frequent trainings that we could get to on a week night. They offered the support that we felt we needed so we made the switch to a new home business. Now I needed to start from the beginning and work at becoming a successful entrepreneur all over again. I had to learn a new business with trainings and seminars, create a new website, write a new free report, and write new content articles. Even though it was hard to find the extra time, having to do everything a second time made me a stronger student.
I have finally reached retirement so I have more time and energy for becoming a successful entrepreneur. There are so many different ways to do internet marketing and be successful. I have learned though that I am pretty good at writing content articles and sharing my growing knowledge with the world. I am achieving my goal of having people reach out to me and I am finding new partners and I ammaking new friends along the way.
